We are seeking a qualified and motivated Assistant Pool Manager to join our Islamic Banking team at the Head Office in Karachi. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Pool Management, Islamic Finance, Mudarabah-based profit distribution, financial reporting, or regulatory reporting within the banking sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting pool calculations, ensuring accurate and timely profit distribution in accordance with Shariah principles, and maintaining compliance with applicable Shariah guidelines, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. The role will involve coordinating with Finance, Shariah, Compliance, IT, auditors, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth and efficient pool operations. The candidate will also analyze market trends and industry payouts on Mudarabah deposits, manage fund allocation across pools, maintain accurate records, and prepare pool disclosures and reports for financial statements and regulatory submissions.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct pool calculations for accurate and timely profit distribution.
Ensure pool operations comply with Shariah principles, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors during pool audits.
Provide required data, calculations, documentation, and explanations for audits.
Analyze market trends and industry payouts on Mudarabah deposits.
Assess the competitiveness of profit distribution and deposit returns.
Coordinate with Finance, Shariah, Compliance, IT, and other departments.
Maintain accurate records of pool activities, allocations, calculations, and supporting documentation.
Prepare pool disclosures and reports for financial statements and regulatory submissions.
Manage allocation of funds across pools according to Shariah rulings and approved policies.
Support continuous improvement of pool management processes and controls.
Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Banking, Economics, Islamic Banking, or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized university.
Minimum 2 years of relevant banking-sector experience.
Experience in Pool Management, Islamic Finance, Profit Distribution, Financial Reporting, or Regulatory Reporting.
Direct experience in Islamic banking pool management and Mudarabah-based profit distribution will be preferred.
Professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, ICMA, CFA, or relevant Islamic Finance certification will be an advantage.
Strong analytical, reporting, communication, and coordination skills.
Good understanding of Shariah principles and Islamic banking practices.
